What we do
Eight programs, one wholistic mission
We meet the most urgent need first, then keep going: a meal, then school, then skills, then a home, then a stage to shine on.
Feeding Program
It all began with bread. Today our feeding program gives children in Bacolod's poorest neighborhoods a warm, nutritious meal, a safe place to sit, and adults who know their names. Every meal comes with a story from Scripture, a song, and someone asking how their day went.
- Nutritious daily meals for children
- Emotional support and encouragement
- Bible reading, prayer, and worship
Scholarship Program
A scholarship with us is more than tuition. Scholars receive daily transportation, school supplies, computer and internet access, and a mentor who checks in every week. We also walk with parents, because a child thrives when the whole family is supported.
- Daily transportation to school
- School supplies and project support
- Computer and online access
- Emotional healing and trauma recovery
- Spiritual mentorship and growth
- Personal care and wellness kits
- Parental counseling and guidance
Disaster Relief
When calamity strikes Negros Occidental, our scholars and volunteers are often the first to show up. Disaster response has no fixed budget. It runs entirely on special fundraising and in-kind gifts, which is why every donation earmarked for relief goes straight to families in crisis.
- Emergency food packs and clean water
- Hygiene kits and basic essentials
- Temporary shelter support
Blessing Communities
We share God's love in tangible ways: thousands of pairs of shoes and pieces of clothing, mosquito nets, sleeping mats, pillows, blankets, and rice. Community carnivals and birthday celebrations turn generosity into joy. One carnival welcomed more than 700 neighbors with free food and prizes.
- Basic needs: shoes, clothing, bedding, rice
- Community carnivals and celebrations
- Birthday parties for hundreds of children
Health Care
Many of the families we serve have never seen a doctor. Through medical missions and partner clinics, we help children and parents get check-ups, medicine, and the basic care that keeps small problems from becoming crises.
- Medical missions and check-ups
- Medicine and wellness kits
- Referrals to partner clinics
Equipping
Charity feeds a family for a day. Skills feed them for a lifetime. Our cooking and baking trainings give parents and older scholars a trade they can use to earn, provide, and eventually give back.
- Cooking and baking classes
- Livelihood and skills training
- Mentoring toward small business
Rebuilding Homes & Lives
A leaking roof or a dirt floor affects everything: health, sleep, school, dignity. With volunteer labor and donated materials, we help families repair and rebuild the homes they already have, one at a time.
- Roof and floor repairs
- Volunteer build days
- Donated materials, family sweat equity
FL Shining Stars
Our Shining Stars are scholars and community kids who sing, dance, and perform at celebrations across Bacolod. For many, it is the first time anyone has applauded them. Confidence built on stage carries into the classroom and beyond.
- Music and dance training
- Performances at community events
- Confidence, teamwork, and joy
