About us

Embodying God's love through meaningful action

For more than 11 years, Fishes & Loaves has served hundreds of impoverished children and struggling families in Bacolod City with help that reaches far beyond material support.

Our story

From a loaf of bread to a movement

It began with bread handed to hungry children on the streets of Bacolod. The bread ran out fast, but the children kept coming, and so did the people who felt called to feed them.

Meals became a daily program. Mentors noticed that fed children still could not get to school, so scholarships followed. Parents needed work, so cooking and baking classes started. Homes leaked, so volunteers picked up hammers.

Along the way we have watched children rescued from poverty, abuse, criminality, prostitution, and drug addiction become leaders in their schools and positive contributors in their communities. That transformation is the whole point.
